Helping You Become A Better Writer
It's just occurred to me I haven't really listed this out for you
This week I was putting together a CTA for an article I was writing and the editor was actively encouraging me to write out an actual list of all the ways I can help my readers become better writers, or just let them connect with me.
Throw everything in there, he advised. It doesn’t have to be three sentences or less with one or two links. It can be list-style, and have about seven items on it (which was great - as I covered this week, seven is a lucky number).
Here’s the exact CTA I came up with (if you’re reading this, you you’ve probably already done no. 1).
Thanks for reading! There are 7 ways I can help you in your writing journey:
Join my free newsletter Change The World With Words for weekly inspiration and actionable advice on how your writing can make the world a better place.
If you’re a Medium member, follow me or subscribe to my email notifications to read my articles as soon as they’re published.
Take a look at my Medium lists. There’s one all about Writing & Blogging.
Check out my Kindle book Free Tools For Writers, Bloggers & Solopreneurs (or get a free sample chapter here).
Consider my Success Kit for Freelance Writers.
Follow me on Twitter/X, Substack Notes, or Facebook for regular writing tips.
Check out my Books For Writers store on Amazon for all my top recommendations.
I thought I’d struggle to come up with seven items, but I really didn’t.
A couple of extras for my Substack community
If you like the idea of the Freelance Writer’s Success Kit, you can get it for 50% off right here (no coupon code needed, the discount is ‘baked in’ at that link). Just a little thank you for being part of the community.
You can also ask me anything (about writing). I’ve been doing this for 30 ish years, I’ve been widely published, have launched, run, and quit multiple blogs, I have 26,000+ Medium followers and have had single articles there earn over $2,000. I’ve launched numerous Kindle books, and I make a full-time living as a writer.
There are plenty of writers with more experience than me, but I have a lot of answers (and know where to start looking when I don’t). So ask away. Just head to the comment section, or over on the new Facebook page. Oh yeah, I nearly forgot.
The CTWWW Facebook Page
I just created a brand new Facebook page for Change The World With Words. I know Facebook isn’t for everyone but if it’s one of your preferred platforms, please follow along on there. I’ll be sharing writing-related tips, links and inspiration, and answering any questions you have for me.

Great list.
Number 7 is definitely my lucky number for about 7 different reasons. I think I should start to use it to my advantage 🤔.
That is a great list of interesting reads for this Sunday. Lotion of great information from writers like Veronica Llorca-Smith and David McIlroy.
Thank you.
